Alta was the final Judge of Death and Rebirth. Both are sacred to the gods and not to be trifled with.
The God of Death ferried the souls of those graced by Death across the West Sea. It is said they sailed to the Golden Halls to await Rebirth. But those are times long past, and True Death is seldom seen in the Known World.
